Information used by the site

Signing in provides the site with your account identifier, display name and email through the hosting platform’s authentication service. The site uses this information for account access, administrator permissions, followed creators and connected desktop devices. It stores submitted articles, transcripts, source links, review records, reader comments and reports. Comments publish under your account display name and can be read by anyone. You can remove your own comments; administrators can remove abusive comments. Removed comments and moderation records may be retained for abuse investigations, and are not publicly displayed. Articles and linked transcripts that are published become public.

The desktop app processes recordings locally. When you connect it and permit publication, it uploads article text, transcript text, titles, creator labels and source links. It does not upload the original audio or video files through that publication workflow.

Storage and third parties

Your theme preference is stored in your browser’s local storage and a first-party preference cookie, so the correct colors can be applied before the page appears. Sign-in and hosting services may use cookies and technical logs to operate and secure the service. The website uses Sites hosting and its database and file-storage services.

Embedded video players connect to third-party platforms when loaded. Those platforms may receive your IP address, browser information and page context and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Opening an external source takes you to that service.

Subscriptions and payments

When subscriptions become available, Stripe will handle checkout and billing. We share your email and a pseudonymous account reference with Stripe and store Stripe customer and checkout identifiers to connect membership to your signed-in account. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Membership status is checked with Stripe; payment return links alone never grant membership. You can manage renewal and cancellation through the membership page. Contact us for billing or deletion requests; payment records may need to be retained for financial obligations.

Advertising

This version of the site does not load Google advertising code. Before Google ads are introduced, this notice must be updated for the actual advertising providers, collection practices and user controls, and required consent management must be implemented. A publisher-review record does not turn advertising on.

Your choices and requests

You can sign out, clear browser storage and disconnect a desktop device from the connection page. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, contact contact@noderealm.com. Account, editorial and security records may need to be retained to operate the service, handle disputes and meet applicable obligations; requests are assessed individually.
