This policy describes the features operating on this site. ClipCast.News uses Sites hosting and its Sign in with ChatGPT service. We receive a site-specific account identifier and, when provided by sign-in, your email. Your email is not displayed with comments.
Information we store
We store your profile name, bio and optional photo. Your profile photo is publicly accessible and appears beside your comments. We store saved articles, followed creators, submitted comments and display names, correction requests and moderation records. Comments are reviewed before publication. If paid subscriptions are enabled, our payment provider processes payment details; this site stores provider customer/subscription identifiers and subscription status, not card numbers.
The Transcriber stores its recording files and work locally on the owner's computer. Published article content, authorized transcripts, claim evidence and images are sent to the site. Site hosting and platform providers may separately process access logs under their policies.
Advertising
ClipCast does not serve advertising or insert sponsored advertising links into articles.
Preferences and embeds
A browser preference stores your chosen light/dark theme. Reader records are stored on the server. Embedded videos make requests to their respective platform when loaded, under that platform's privacy practices.
Retention and control
Account activity remains until you remove it or request deletion. Use Your account to export and delete site activity. Published corrections and editorial audit records may remain to preserve the reporting record. Backups can retain prior data until rotated; recovery procedures must reapply outstanding deletion requests. Pending connection codes expire after ten minutes. Rate-limit records are periodically cleaned.
